Festival korejskýma očima

Hello, I’m great to see you guys. My name is Minjee Yun from South Korea. Thanks to visiting my friend I could join the Open Air Program.


I went to the concert of 2 bands ‘DVA’ and ‘Jolana and Humbucker‘. I saw slam poetry, standup comedy show of Alex Frackleton from Scotland and the belly dance performace in the park. I also visited the play ‘Googling&Fucking’ and joined the DJ Ventolin‘s show.

At the beginning of the festival I was little bit lonely and scared because of the language. But as time goes by I could became a member who could enjoy the festival. Although I didn’t understand Czech language I tried to understand as far as I can through mind and feeling and emotion. People seemed to really enjoyed their life, the moment in the festival. And I liked the expression of emotions, thoughts, and feelings through the arts. How beautiful and amazing it was! And I heard of czech history from my friend and I can understand now the people in Czech more. I liked the thoughts about grateful for the liberty and their lives. It was very impressive to me and I realized the importance of being free and happy. It is like a challenge to live like you who would appreciate little things and feel happy in Korea (and I guess some other countries are also similar to Korea, and in modern society more).

I realized and learned many things during the festival, enjoyed new experiences and meeting czech friens. I was satisfied with my extremely happy times with the great people and culture here. It was definitely surprise and great!
